A picocurie is a unit of radioactivity that is equivalent to one trillionth of a curie. In Perspective, one cure measures the rate of radioactive decay, specifically 3.7 x 10^10 disintegrations per second. What is an Action Level? The EPA recommends fixing homes when radon levels reach 4 pCi/L (150 Bq/m³) or higher.
